Renea, my strongest friend who didn't deserve this.
For Mary Wollstonecraft and all the rest of us who died during childbirth.
Or
to Mommy- State- Dearest
This is not what you expect to hear from someone like me, so perhaps you shouldn’t listen to what I have to say if you are at that stage in life when the patter of little feet is all you want to hear. My son’s childhood has been one of the most unhappy times of my life even while I smiled strained in birthday party photos. The biggest fear being those impossible women that work for child protection agencies, not that I was doing anything bad; I wasn’t, but the boogieman for single under employed and under educated (we were too busy changing diapers and working shit jobs) mothers in this country is the faceless child protection/ social worker. Getting even in the projects/ apartment complex usually includes an anonymous call to agency and then it’s always guilty until proven innocent. No I haven’t had a visit, but that threat hung over my head like a scythe with social worker as code word for grim reaper and wicked witch of the west. I have friends who don’t have their children right now and they haven’t done anything ( no abuse at all ) wrong other than piss off the wrong people. Stomping on eggshells is a full time occupation and they were eventually occupied full time by the state which came in with all the grace of female storm troopers, grabbing their children and placing them here and there, and almost never with relatives. The preferred home being one as my friend often says, “the childless professional women who for some reason or the other cannot conceive,” and usually these people are right wing, Christian fundamentalist who actually rule their own homes with a rod, which makes it hard to understand what they are given other women’s children to raise under the guise of protection, and honestly we all know it comes down to money and having a male head of house, so don’t let them fool you on these afternoon talk shows of what’s best for the children while babies die in crack houses (no one wants the drug addicted babies/ too many problems with them) Yes in this case, I am talking about those bitch caseworkers in Louisiana.
I am so glad that my son is almost grown. I would never have another child and I advise all women to think about it. If you want to be denied every right that you thought you were entitled to as a United States citizen then go a head and have kids. Then every time some one gets mad all they have to do is make an anonymous phone call and you have lost before you started. Family court in these cases makes the Salem Witch trials look fair and reasonable. Go see one if you don’t believe me. I mean really go check it out.
